2. Information We Collect
- Account information: name, email address, authentication identifiers, profile picture if provided by Google sign-in, and account settings.
- Uploaded and generated content: documents, extracted text, prompts, assessment briefs, project data, tags, flashcards, exams, answers, papers, analyses, and chat messages.
- Usage and subscription data: plan, trial status, feature usage counts, billing status, Stripe customer ID, subscription ID, and cancellation status.
- Support data: messages you send to support, contact details, and related correspondence.
- Technical data: IP address, device and browser information, pages visited, timestamps, server logs, error logs, diagnostics, and analytics events.
- Payment data: payment details are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers.
3. How We Use Information
- To create and secure your account.
- To provide document upload, extraction, flashcards, practice exams, writing, analysis, exports, and Ask Eazy Grades AI.
- To process subscriptions, billing, renewals, cancellations, and plan access.
- To enforce usage limits, prevent abuse, detect fraud, and protect the service.
- To send transactional emails such as account, password, trial, billing, and support messages.
- To monitor reliability, investigate bugs, improve performance, and develop product features.
- To comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
4. AI Processing
Eazy Grades sends relevant prompts, document excerpts, generated content, and context to AI providers when needed to generate flashcards, exams, papers, rewrites, analysis, and document-grounded answers. Do not upload content that you are not allowed to process through third-party AI services.
AI outputs may be stored in your account so you can view, edit, download, and reuse them. We do not sell your uploaded documents or generated content.
If you upload school, college, university, employer, client, student, or third-party materials, you are responsible for confirming that you have permission to process those materials through Eazy Grades and its AI providers.
5. Third-Party Services
- Supabase: authentication, database, and storage.
- Vercel: hosting, serverless functions, deployment, and infrastructure logs.
- Google Gemini: AI generation for study, writing, analysis, and document-grounded chat features.
- Stripe: checkout, billing, subscriptions, invoices, and payment processing.
- Resend: transactional email delivery.
- Sentry: error monitoring, diagnostics, and performance traces.
- Google Analytics: product analytics if enabled.
These providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies. Some processing may occur outside your country of residence.
6. Legal Bases
Where data protection laws require a legal basis, we process personal data to perform our contract with you, based on our legitimate interests in operating and improving the service, with your consent where required, and to comply with legal obligations.
7. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use essential cookies and local storage for authentication, security, session management, billing redirects, and theme preferences. If Google Analytics is enabled, we may use analytics cookies or similar technologies to understand product usage. We do not use advertising cookies. See our Cookie Policy for more detail.
8. Data Retention
- Account, uploaded, and generated content is retained while your account remains active or as needed to provide the service.
- Billing records may be retained as required for tax, accounting, fraud prevention, and legal compliance.
- Support messages are retained as needed to resolve requests and maintain business records.
- Error logs and diagnostic data are generally retained for a limited operational period.
- If you request account deletion, we aim to delete or anonymise personal account data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or legitimate business needs.
9. Security
We use technical and organisational safeguards intended to protect your information, including authentication controls, access controls, encrypted transport, managed hosting, monitoring, and limited administrative access. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
10. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:
- Access personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Delete your account or request deletion of personal data.
- Export certain data in a portable format.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
- Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.

11. Children
Eazy Grades is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the product, providers, or legal requirements change. Material changes will be posted in the app or communicated by email where appropriate.
